Our Endowments

JL Stacks NC NJTL Endowment
In memory of her late husband, J.L. Stacks, Jean Stacks Harrold established this fund to epitomize a life well-lived and to make available to underserved NC NJTL youth, tennis & education opportunities that would have been beneficial to JL as a young tennis player. No surprise that J.L.'s humility, strength of character, and firm work ethic exhibited in his personal life also carried over to his professional life - and on the tennis court!
Saunders-Langford Endowment
The Saunders-Langford Endowment provides juniors the opportunity to experience tournament tennis and reap the benefits of competing and developing lifelong relationships. This endowment provides need based grants to players from small North Carolina communities to help them participate in tournaments.
Emily H. Preyer Family Endowment
The NC Tennis Foundation completed a capital campaign raising over $1.7 million in 2006. A portion of that money went to help create a new NC Tennis Hall of Fame which opened at the Harold T. and Mildred F. Southern North Carolina Tennis Center in 2008.
A main focus of the campaign was to create the NC Tennis Foundation Emily H. Preyer Family Endowment Fund. The NC Tennis Foundation offers grants annually from the endowment or gift fund.
Additional Grants of Interest

"NC Tennis Foundation helped us start our NJTL four years ago and have continued to advise and support us each year since then. Their staff introduced us to the ACE curriculum, helped train our volunteers, gave us advice about grants, and provided us with great prizes for our contests."
